The daughter of Fred and Golda Robitsch, she was born in Tillamook, moving with her family to a dairy farm on Sauvie Island in 1942. She graduated from Scappoose High School in 1945 and Oregon State University in 1950 with a major in home economics and a minor in business. In 1951, she married Thomas Guy Churchill. She is survived by her daughters, Laurie Hughes and Denise Wilson (Tom); granddaughters, Krystal Wilson and Ashley Van Zant; grandson, Kenny; great-grandson, Zayden Wilson; sister-in-law, Donna Robitsch; nephew, Alan Robitsch; niece, Sherri Olson (Bob); and "nieceletts," Kellie and Samantha. She was predeceased by her son, Timothy; husband, Tom; brothers, Robert and Donald Robitsch; and nephew, Jerry Robitsch. Donna will be remembered for her beautiful smile, generous heart and love of dancing. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015, at the Sauvie Island Community Church, 18510 N.W. Reeder Road, Portland. Memorial donations may be made to SI Community Church or SI Grange Scholarship Fund.

Mrs. Mary Ferdye Wood Harlow, 79, of 1013 N. Elm St., died Wensday at Moses Cone Hospital. A native of Memphis, Tenn., she had lived in Greensboro for the past 20 years. She was a communicant of Saint Benedicts Catholic Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.

Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at Hanes-Lineberry North Elms Street Chapel. Friday morning the body will be transferred to the Memphis Funeral Home, and requiem mass will be said at St. Micheal's Roman Catholic Church in Memphis at 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Memphis.

Surviving are her widower, Samuel L. Harlow, Sr.; sons Samuel L. Harlow, Jr. of Memphis, and Christopher Wood Harlow of Danville, Va.; daughters, Mrs. Mary T. Furlong of Greensboro and Mrs. Elma Rose Goheen of Memphis; sister Miss Ruth Wood of Memphis; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

It was Mrs. Harlow's custom to contribute to the American Red Cross Blood Bank upon the death of a friend.
