Leonard Research by Philip Leonard, of Wash, DC - pp 1, 80-90, 176: "Margaret ("Peggy") Saypaugh/Seaboch was born on December 12, 1801, and died on October 3, 1871. She is buried at Daniels Church in the row with Franklin Leonard. Her parents were evidently Jacob Seaboch and his wife Margaret. Great Uncle Gaston Leonard also said that she was born and reared in the old house that stands back from the road--in a very diplapidated condition in 1977--above the abandoned Beam's Cotton Gin and below the house of Marsh Goins."

Mr. Robert Wilson Philbeck, Sr., age 94 of 1411 Florida Moss Lane in Port Orange Florida, and formerly of Shelby died Friday, June 7, 2013.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Ted Bost officiating.
He was born May 28, 1919 in Cleveland County to the late John and Cora Eskridge Philbeck. Mr. Philbeck was a graduate of Shelby High School, earned a B.S. degree from Appalachian State College, and his Masters degree from George Peabody College. He served over four years in the military service, receiving the following military awards: Combat Infantryman badge, two bronze star medals, one with Oak leaf cluster, and “V” device, American Defense Service Medal, with one bronze service Star, four European-African Middle Eastern Campaign bronze service stars. He served with the 92nd and 88th Infantry Division and was a Life Member of Veterans Foreign Wars.
For eight years, Mr. Philbeck was employed by E.I. Dupont Engineer department. In 1958 he moved to Florida and worked in education as a DCT Co-ordinator in Orange County until he retired.
