He wrote: "I received a letter addressed to Vanderbilt T Baker at my home in San Jose, CA. We purchased the house from a person with the surname Baker in 2008 but I have no forwarding information for your letter. The neighbors say the house was purchased in '68 by a Baker and the original couple and their children occupied the home for the next forty years. I'll ask the neighbors if they knew the parents names. The parents are likely to have been deceased for quite some time (20+ years) and we bought the house from their daughter."

email from Paul Mollard, Nov 2012: "The house was likely owned by the the Bakers you are seeking, the neighbors think the names you listed below are correct. There are very few original neighbors still around, so information is a little thin.

They had at least three children, two boys and a girl (Desiree) about the right age, Desi was in her late-40's or early 50's when we bought the house and the neighbors believe Desi was the youngest. All the original siblings co-owned the house after the mother passed away in the late-80's, early 90's (nobody was sure of the date) and the father had passed away many years prior to the mother. I believe the father was in the trades, either a mason or into concrete. Desi bought the boys out in the mid-90's and raised a family of two, a boy and a girl, in the house. She sold the house to us in late 2008.

You can probably check the public police records with the house address during in the mid-90's to 2000. When the boys lived at the house, had numerous run-in's with the law including knife fights, street brawls and loud parties that led to arrests. Their names should be in the blotter somewhere. The boys have not been seen since their sister bought them out and evicted them (maybe check the records for a court eviction notice).

Dalana “Dee” Jordan, age 69, of Danbury, NE, died at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney on August 10, 2013. She born in Walnut Creek, CA on June 17, 1944 to Floyd A. and Edith A. (Dobbs) Blankenship . Deed graduated high school in California.
Dee married Arthur Frank Long and to this union a son Barry was born. In 1986 she was married to Edward Roy Jordan in a Civil War re-enactment ceremony. The couple lived in Ft. Collins Colorado and moved to Danbury in 1999. Dee was a skilled painter of wildlife. She and Roy enjoyed black powder shooting, re-enactment of the Civil War. They were members of the Henry Hopkins Sibley Rangers 7th Regiment of Texas. She and Roy were cannoneers owning up 8 cannons at one time. Dee was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the Red hatters Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents; ½ brothers: William Franzenbach Richard Blankenship Gerald Blankenship; Larry Timm.
Dee is survived by her husband Roy of Danbury, NE; Son: Barry and wife Heather of Loveland, Co; 3 step children: Harold of Akron, C0; Kathy of Ft. Collins; Bobby of McCook: 3 grandchildren: Tiffanie, Deven and Cooper Long: 4 step grandchildren: sisters: Gail and husband Jesse More of Viola, Ks; Leslie Buhler of Auburn, CA.
A memorial services is planned for a future date. Visitation will be held only on Monday August 12, 2013 from 4 PM till 8 PM at the Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook.
