email from Carol Shade, Mar 2005: "I found your website and have enjoyed it very much. I was looking for information about SPA. My father (Dominic Musilli) was born there in 1914. His mother was Marie Frazinni. So I was surprised when I read that you have Frazinni relatives from the same town in Italy. Perhaps you and I are related! Also was surprised to read that your grandfather Emiliano lived for a time in New Galilee, PA. This is where my father and and his parents first lived when they came to the U.S. in 1920. They later moved to Mansfield, Ohio, where I was born.
My father's parents were both only children and I never had been able to trace my ancestors back very far. My father was 6 yr old when he came to America,so he did not remember a lot about Italy. My grandparents passed away before I was born, so I never had much information about their lives in Italy."
Guestbook entry from granddaughter, Carol Musille-Shade, Feb 2011: "My father and his parents came to the US in 1920. He was 6 yrs.old then. His mother was a Frazinni. His father's first name was Camillo. They settled first in PA. and then to Ohio. He married Mary Castorano, whose parents were from Italy."
email from Carol Shade, Feb 2011: "My info about my grandparents is very slim. My grandfather died when my dad was about 13, and his mother passed when he was about 20. I do remember him saying that she was an only child.(which I find odd) And that they lived in SPA. I know nothing of great grandparents. Most of what I know I have found through Ellis Island ship manifests, and from visiting the cemetery where my grandparents are buried. Whish I knew more, but Dad didn't talk a lot about his childhood." Mark's note: her grandfather died about 1927, doing the math. Her grandmother, then about 1934.

Maria "Marietta" Frazzini (I9012) [Female] b. 24 Jul 1894 San Pietro Avellana, Campobasso, Italy - d. 14 Apr 1935 Lima, Shawnee, Allen, OH
Immigration: : 25 Jun 1920
Occupation:
1893 SPA birth records missing.
1894 two possibilities:
--- Maria Incoronata 27 Apr #36 f: Michele 26y m: Filomena diSanza (this person best matches her age of 26y by 7 Jun 1920. This person had 5 siblings which does not match the only child family story. Maria Incoronata had a brother, Giuseppe, born in 1896 and another brother, Vencenzo, born in 1898. So she was not an only child - see email below from Carol Shade.
--- Maria Teresa 14 Aug #53 f: Carlo Maria 31y m: Concetta Palumbo (ref Jean Cuchiaro). This person had 2 siblings which does not match the only child family story.
1914 referenced as wife in EI arrival of husband, Camillo Musilli.
1920 25 Jun EI arrival, 26y (1894) by 7 Jun (when they sailed), with two children, no one left in SPA, going to husband, Camillo Musilli in New Galilee, PA. Traveled with Tommaso diMartino, Albino Casciato, Colombo diFLorio, Elisabetta Labate (and daughter Pierina Carlino).
1930 census, Madison, Richland, OH, 36y, married but no husband listed. With 4 children and boarders : Dominico diSanza, Vincent Desanza and Mike Morello.
1934 Mansfield City Directory (OH): "Musille Mrs Mary (wid Camillo) h 102 Grace".
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=118959978 photo on tombstone.
1935 14 Apr - OH DC, 40y 8m 23d. Not filled out by family so no parents listed. She died at the Lima Distrist Tuberculosis Hospital in Shawnee, Allen, OH. It appears that she had been treated at that hospital since 23 Jul 1934. DOB 22 Jul 1894. LIved at 102 Grace St, Mansfield, OH. In the US for 14y which matches up with 1920 EI arrival shown above. Shown as married to Doiman Nick Muselli but that is probably wrong. "Doiman Nick" is probably "Domenic", her son who checked her into the hospital.

Guestbook entry from granddaughter, Carol Musille-Shade, Feb 2011.
email from Carol Shade, Mar 2005: "I found your website and have enjoyed it very much.
My grandparents passed away before I was born, so I never had much information about their lives in Italy."
email from Carol Shade, Feb 2011: "My info about my grandparents is very slim. Her grandmother, then about 1934.

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.2.1/33SF-V57: "Some of my favorite childhood memories are summers at at Aunt Vee and Uncle Annios'.
She was the sweetest person. Always there to share a full day. Each summer she made my school clothes, We would walk to Broad Street to shop. I got to pick the material for my ONE OF A KIND SHIRT. She stayed up late and sewed. Drank a lot of coffee.
Allowed me to go to the pool with my cousins and spent the day with JoAnn and Vickie.
Spent time at grandmas picking vegetables and canning.
Her rock garden was perfect. Mrs Murphy her neighbor ,was always looking down from her yard to hers with a comment. I never made it to her house, it was off limits.
Fondest childhood memories were made of the simplist things. She added a lot to mine. I like to whistle too. She always did."
