Peter David Sonsino, 53, of West Aliquippa, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, in Heritage Valley Beaver.

He was born on September 27, 1959, in Sewickley, PA, a son of Carmen 'Tony' Sonsino and the late Deanna (DeChellis) Sonsino.

In addition to his mother, Peter was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Sonsino; his paternal grandparents, Carmine and Eufemia Sonsino, and his maternal grandparents, Pietro and Fraulina DeChellis.

He is survived by his fiancée, Tamera McCormish, West Aliquippa; a son, Matthew Sonsino, Rochester, PA; his father and stepmother, Carmen 'Tony' and Carol Sonsino, Center Twp.; two brothers, Anthony 'Cheech' Sonsino, West Aliquippa, and Jerry Sonsino and his wife Maha, Gilbertsville, PA; two stepbrothers, Jeff Baumgartner and his wife Mary, of Florida, and Joe Baumgartner and his wife Donna, Franklin Park; a stepsister, Diane Kidd, of Florida; two nephews, Joseph Sonsino and Nicolas Sonsino, and aunts and uncles, Pete and Mary Gaudino, and Anthony and Louise Battaglini. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.

Born Nov. 18, 1910, in Sante Eufemia, Italy, a daughter of the late Gennaro and Maria Louisa (D'Amico) Sonsini, she was a member of St. Titus Catholic Church, Aliquippa, and the St. Titus Confraternity of Christian Mothers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Riccitelli, in October 1965; two brothers, Carmen and Rocco Sonsini, and three sisters, Maria Cialone, Fioralba Sonsini and Antoinetta Colafella. Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Joseph Riccitelli, Raccoon Township, and Anthony and Peggy Riccitelli, Center Township; a daughter, Elizabeth Riccitelli, with whom she resided; four grandchildren, Ted Wory, Anthony and Aaron Riccitelli, and Chris Guiliano and her husband, Michael; a great-grandson, Christian Guiliano; a sister, Domenica Colafella, and a sister-in-law, Eufemia Sonsino, both of West Aliquippa, and many nieces and nephews. Domenica Colafella, 98, formerly of West Aliquippa, passed away Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 in West Hills Health and Rehabilitation, Moon Twp.

Born March 19, 1913, in Santa Eufemia, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Jerry and Maria Louise (D'Amico) Sonsini. Mrs. Colafella was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Aliquippa. She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Center Twp., St. Anthony Congregation and the Queens of Columbus.

Domenica loved to cook and she especially enjoyed family gatherings. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, and will be sadly missed by all who loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Domenic Colafella, in 1978; two brothers, Rocco Sonsini and Carmen Sonsino, and a sister Eufemia Riccitelli.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Fran Colafella; two daughters and sons-in-law, Angie and Bill Sullivan and Jenny and Joseph Soltis, all of Center Twp.; 10 beloved grandchildren, Nick (Amy) Colafella, Steve (Holly) Colafella, Doug (Meg) Colafella, Bill (Dr. Jennifer Unis) Sullivan, Debbie (Edward) Tarquinio, Dr. Mark (Lisa) Sullivan, Brian (Teresa) Sullivan, Lisa (John) Pichi, Joseph (Nicole) Soltis and Dana Soltis; 24 great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.

POLAND – Private services were held Tuesday, March 11, 2014, for Thomas DeVecchio, a resident of Poland, who passed away at Masternick Memorial Health Care Center on Friday, March 7, 2014.

Thomas was born March 29, 1930, in Struthers, a son of Carmen and Julia Deltondo DeVecchio.

He married Roseann Anzevino in August of 1952.

Thomas worked at Republic Steel and then became the Assistant Vice President of Pasco Builders. He spent time overseeing building projects in Israel. He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in New Middletown and was also a member of the Elks and the Rotary. He served as a Staff Sgt. in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

Tom enjoyed spending his afternoons on the golf course or tending his vegetable garden every day during the summer. He was a devoted husband, a loving dad, grandfather, and great-grandfather to all his children.

Thomas leaves his wife, Roseann; three sons, Tom DeVecchio of Poland, Robert (Kathy) DeVecchio of Oviedo, Fla., and Ron (Sandy) DeVecchio of VanWert; five grandchildren, Gina, Jennifer, Robert, Nicholas and Lindsay; and three great-grandchildren, Sophie, Michael and Hayden.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Joe, Jack and Charles.

Arrangements were handled by the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers.
