Lorenzo V. D’Achille, 86, of North Sewickley Township, passed away on Saturday November 4, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Born January 10, 1937, in Beaver Falls; he was the son of the late Violante and Rose (Anthony) D’Achille. He was employed at Keystone Bakery before opening his own bakery ,1st Street Bakery (known as the Donut Hut) in Ellwood City. He regularly attended Concord Global Methodist Church, North Sewickley Township. He enjoyed hunting and camping in Tionesta, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his family. Lorenzo loved baking for the holidays. He was known for his delicious nut rolls and pizzelles.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Rose Marie (Kaleta) D’Achille, a son Ron (Shari) D’Achille; two daughters Theresa (William) Bair and Sharon (Todd) Hyre, of North Sewickley Township. Four grandchildren Adam (Anne) D’Achille, Alan (Amanda) D’Achille, Breana Hyre, and Jenna (James) Johnston. Four great-grandchildren Elliott, Micah, Kristina, and David D’Achille; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother in law, Mary Nicholson, brother, Guliano D’Achille and a brother-in-law Leon Kaleta.

Friends will be received Wednesday from 4-8 PM in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com, 3801-4th Avenue, Beaver Falls, PA 15010. Additional visitation will be held Thursday in the Concord Global Methodist Church, 285 Concord Church Road, Beaver Falls, from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM. Pastor, Chris Kindle will officiate.

Interment will take place in the Concord Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made if desired to Club Hope Foundation of Ellwood City (a Cancer support organization) at www.clubhopefoundation.com .

Dorothy Louise D'Achille, 71, of Patterson Township, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2010, in Kindred Care of Heritage Valley Hospital, Beaver, after a lengthy hospital stay.

Born June 2, 1939, in Indiana, PA, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Essie (Miller) Davis. She was a lifelong member of Divine Mercy Parish, Beaver Falls, a former employee for the first Louie Pappan's Restaurant in Beaver County, a proud Blackhawk band mother for 12 years, and was an avid bowler. She loved to play cards with her sisters, brothers and her good friends, Dolly Uebelacker and Ernestine Kroskey.

Dorothy was a devoted homemaker. She especially loved caring for and spending time with her children and grandchildren. They cherished her and will sadly miss her strong will, wit and compassionate soul. She also enjoyed the time she spent keeping the extended family informed and up to date.

She was preceded in death by her four brothers and five sisters, Margaret Grossi, Joanne Sanderson, Agnes Rudnicki, Edward, Harry, George and John Davis, and twin sisters, Patty Alexander and Peggy Davis.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Guliano D'Achille, Patterson Township; two daughters and sons-in-law, Julie (John) Kochanowski, Monaca, and Mary (Mark) Merriman, Chippewa Township; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph (Lisa) D'Achille, Tionesta, PA; seven grandchildren, Steven, Amy, Michelle, Macie, Melanie, Sandy and Jared; two sisters, Essie Rudnicki, Brighton Township, and Rose Healy, Monaca; three brothers, William Davis, New Castle; Charles Davis, York, PA and Clarence Davis, Rogers, OH; two brothers-in-law, Larry D'Achille, North Sewickley Township, and Walter Rudnicki, New Brighton, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hilland kunselman.com, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, where a blessing service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. with Father James Farnan officiating.

I had to email and let you know that Albert who is Flavio Palmieri's son, he is the one I think resembles you, was a car enthusiast in his younger days. When I grew up Uncle Flavio and his wife Carmel together with his children Albert and Marisa lived on a farm close by, they moved back to Melbourne after Granddad, (Rocco) died. Anyway, Albert had a couple of MG's and as a kid it was exciting when he took us for a spin. When my dad died the house in Tatura was 1 month of being finished and the farm was about 20kilometres out of town. On the day of Dad's funeral I remember sitting in the back part of the car, which wasn't a seat, when I took Albert and I can't remember who for a drive into town to see the new house. Thought I'd share that memory with you. I hope you don't mind. I remember Albert also had a Corvette which was still left hand
drive, which was a real novelty for a little kid. "

My mother had been a playmate of her's growing up in Utah. Dena had been hospitalized briefly for Cancer, before she died. Over the last ten years, I had been keeping up with her via mail. I was sad to hear the news. Her parents: Emmanuele Morelli (b. 1894) and Diletta Maria Morelli (b. 1899)were born in San Pietro Avellana.
