PRIESTAS Nancy Priestas, age 83, of Columbus passed away on September 4, 2012. Nancy was born on February 20, 1929 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Domenico and Margaret Frazzini (Priore). She is preceded in death by her husband Charlie Priestas, step-father Joseph Priore, siblings Edward Frazzini, Margaret (Peggy) Frazzini and Theresa (Priore) Rill and beloved dogs and cat. Nancy was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker with a wonderful resiliency and sense of humor. She was an avid reader of mystery novels, biographies and history. Her knowledge of European and American history was amazing. Nancy was a devoted fan of television, the movies and their stars. She loved piano music; Chopin was her favorite. Nancy married Charlie in 1951. Together they enjoyed the benefits and weathered the occasional challenges of ownership in Priestas Brothers Builders and Gahanna Bowling Lanes. She was an excellent bookkeeper. Nancy is survived by her two children, David (Thais) Priestas and Karen Priestas; granddaughter, Maggie; sisters Mary Francia, Elsie Yacapraro and Judy (Walter) Kimbrough; along with numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Nancy was a proud mother to her children. Her granddaughter always brightened her day. Nancy's obituary would not be complete without special mention of her dear, lifelong friend Helen (McHale) Kitzmiller, sister-in-law Maxine Frazzini, niece Jan Francini, and neighborhood friend Sharon Budd. Family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8 p.m., at THE JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE, 1177 W. Fifth Avenue. Funeral Mass 10 a.m., Saturday at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel, 6440 South High Street, Lockbourne (within the grounds of St. Joseph Cemetery). Rev. Fr. Thomas G. Petry, Presiding.
