Anthony Peter Zaccagnini of Norwood died Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, in the Hellenic Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Canton. He was 85.
Mr. Zaccagnini was born in Watertown, the son of the late Pietro and Rosa (Piscatelli) Zaccagnini. He grew up in Watertown, and attended Watertown High School. He lived in Waltham for 43 years before moving to Norwood in 2003.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS New Jersey in the Pacific. He was award the Philippine Liberation Medal with two Bronze Stars, the Asiatic-Pacific Area Ribbon with one Silver Star and four Bronze Stars. He was honorably discharged at the end of the war as a Radioman Third Class.
Mr. Zaccagnini began his career with Economy Market, the forerunner of Stop & Shop Grocery Stores. He retired in 1980 as bakery district manager for all Stop & Shop stores after 46 years with the company.
He enjoyed his retirement and his summer residence in Duxbury. He also enjoyed gardening and playing golf at the Green Harbor Golf Course in Marshfield. He was a member of the Duxbury 240 Club.
He leaves his wife of 44 years, Theresa (Montague) (McDaniel) Zaccagnini; four children, Judith Zaccagnini Flynn of Norfolk and Duxbury, Linda Zaccagnini of Wayland, Michael McDaniel of Del Ray Beach, Fla., and Timothy McDaniel of Norwood; a sister, Theresa D'Amico of Watertown; a brother, Philip Zaccagnini of Watertown; seven grandchildren, Tracey McDaniel Miller of Mansfield, Sean McDaniel of Weymouth, Sara Flynn of Duxbury, Michael Machanic and Robert Machanic of Wayland, and Kelly McDaniel and Casey McDaniel of Norwood; and four great-grandchildren, Julia Miller, Kathryn Miller, Caroline McDaniel and Meghan McDaniel.
He was the husband of the late Grace (Trumble) Zaccagnini, who died in 1952, the brother of the late Emma Mancini, Daniel Zaccagnini and Florence Power, and the father of the late Patrick McDaniel.
A funeral was held Monday, Sept. 20, from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home in Watertown, followed by a funeral Mass in the Church of St. Patrick in Watertown.
Burial was in St. Patrick Cemetery in Watertown.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hellenic Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 601 Sherman St., Canton, MA 02021.

Gaeta of West Roxbury, Peter P. D'Amico of Marshfield, John A. D'Amico of No. Andover, Loretta Dunn of Burlington, and Barbara A. Howe of Wilmington; dear sister of Philip Zaccagnini of Watertown and the late Emma Mancini, Daniel Zaccagnini, Florence Power, and Anthony Zaccagnini. She was also loved by 15 grandchildren including the late Robert D'Amico and Theresa D'Amico; and 31great-grandchildren. The Funeral will be from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St., on Rte. 20, Watertown, on Friday at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 o'clock in the Church of Saint Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown. Angela Colonna Bartoe, 85, of Chippewa Township, PA, died Oct. 17, 2006, in The Medical Center, Beaver, PA.

Born Oct. 3, 1921, in Youngwood, PA, Angela was a daughter of the late Renald S. and Clara Colaizzi Colonna. She was a 1940 graduate of Beaver Falls High School and attended the Garfield Business Institute.

She had been employed at Curtis Wright, Ingram-Richardson Company and for Dr. Thomas M. Baldwin. She was a member of Christ the Divine Teacher Catholic Parish and the Valley Exemplars Sorority. She enjoyed fishing and traveling with her husband and family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Bartoe, who died a month before she did, on Sept. 9, 2006; a brother and sister-in-law, Albin and Rose Colonna, and a brother-in-law, Oscar Parker.

She was survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, W. Donald and Helen Bartoe; Annapolis, Md.; Renald and Roberta Bartoe, Patterson Township, and Bruce and Sharron Bartoe, Annapolis, Md.; four granddaughters, Lindsay, Lauren, Angela and Casey; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Vivian Parker, Stewartstown, Pa.; Gloria and Raymond Uhlig, Pittsburgh, and Delores and William J. Ross, Chippewa Township, and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Renald and Arletta Colonna, Chippewa Township, and Gerald and Barbara Colonna, Akron, Ohio.
