In both 1930 and 1940 census, her brother, Cesare Colaizzi was living with them. It seems unusal that she was born in PA. I've found no evidence that Berardina Ricci ever came to the US. Maybe Berardina was not her mother. Could get the SSAN SS-5 document to check.

LEETONIA - Robert Emrick Colaizzi, 76, of 739 Columbia Street, died at 11:15 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, at the Salem Community Hospital.

Mr. Colaizzi was born April 24, 1929, in Leetonia, a son of Domenick and Antonia Maria Cellano Colaizzi, and had lived in this area all of his life. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He had been employed as a banker for various banks in the area, retiring in 1992.

He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church where he was a longtime choir member and had served as Lector. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus of Leetonia and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Leetonia.

He is survived by his wife, the former Anita L. Gallo, whom he married Oct. 5, 1957; three sons, Robert (Janna Lee) Colaizzi of Carson City, Nev., Timothy Colaizzi of Leetonia, and David (Rose) Colaizzi of Virginia Beach, Va.; a sister, Martina Baulo of Leetonia; two grandchildren, Brandon Colaizzi and Catherine Colaizzi; two stepgrandchildren, Christina George and Thomas George; and a stepgreat-granddaughter, Jillian George-Vinson.

Two sisters, Bertha Ruozzo and Jensie Franket, and three brothers, Carmen Colaizzi, Philip Colaizzi and Jerry Colaizzi, are deceased.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with the Rev. Edward Brienz officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia, from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday. If friends desire, material tributes may take the form of a donation to the Mt. Calvary Cemetery Association.
