Elizabeth Colaianni, 95, of Aliquippa, Pa., died Saturday, March 17, at Beeghly Oaks in Boardman, Ohio surrounded by her family. Elizabeth, or "Betty" as she was known to many, was born on December 3, 1911, in San Pietro Avellana, Abruzzo, Italy, the daughter of Emidio Mariani and Beatrice Ciotola Mariani. She came to the United States in 1927 and lived in the Bloomfield area of Pittsburgh, Pa. She married Dino Colaianni on July 4, 1934 and moved to Aliquippa, Pa. Betty was a homemaker who also assisted her husband in their tavern business for over 20 years. She also worked at Aliquippa Hospital and the Lutheran Home Health Services before she retired. She was a member of St. Titus Parish in Aliquippa where she belonged to the Confraternity of Christian Mothers and the Queens of Columbus. She was a gifted seamstress and a wonderful cook. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and playing Scrabble. Her husband, Dino, died April 25, 1978. She leaves her two sons: Amico (Daisy) of Mooresville, North Carolina and Dean (Diana) of Boardman, Ohio; four grand children: Elise (Rick) Linc of Burke, Va.; Susan (Randy) Cloninger of Mooresville, North Carolina; David and Steven Colaianni of Pittsburgh, Pa.; Maria (Denny) Riley of Richmond, Michigan and Robert Colaianni of Boardman; four great-grandchildren: Benjamin and RJ Cloninger and Jacqueline and Joshua Linc; three brothers: Eugene, Otto and Oreste Mariani of Pittsburgh. She was preceded in death by her brothers Humbert and William Mariani; her sisters: Flora Mariani, Milena Paolucci and Viola Buzzelli and her sister-in-law Elisa Colaianni Verdoni. Calling hours will be held Monday, March 19 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the ANTHONY MASTROFRANCESCO FUNERAL HOME, INC. at the corner of 21st Street and McMinn St., Aliquippa, Pa. The phone number is (724) 375-0496. A service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 20 at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Titus Church, 952 Franklin Ave., Aliquippa. Burial will be at Mt. I show a William Houser Jr.  I know only that his mom was a Frazzini in Youngstown, OH. I'm unable to make contact with William.  I just want to find out which Frazzini he descended from. I did some internet searching and I found his dad (William Houser Sr.) who lived all his life in Youngstown and died in 2013.  It lists William as a son (+ a couple other children that I can't get ahold of).  Oddly, the obit doesn't say anything about William Sr. ever being married....maybe they divorced.  Anyways in your huge data base do you have any info on who William Houser Jr. mom was? "I don't know if Pietro diLorenzo actually lived in Pittsburgh or when he
died - looks like he always lived in Beaver County. Here's what I've collected
from Census and Ellis Island Lists. I spelled his name each time exactly as
it appeared in the record or index. I put it in chronological order and it
appears to be the same person. I can't find the first trip he states was in
1896. The only discrepancy I see is that he is listed as single in the 1900
Census but was probably married since both daughters were born before that.
He's boarding with my grandfather's family in 1900 and ALL their birth months,
years and immigration dates are way off. He says he's going to bro-in-law
Belisario Mariani in 1913, but they weren't bro-in-laws. 4613 Lorigan St was
my grandparents house/grocery store and their address was often used as a
destination for Pgh-Bloomfield area (even before they bought it in 1906). -
