COLAIANNI� Mary Barbara, 85, Clairton, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born Jan. 13, 1927, in Allegheny Township, Cambria County, daughter of the late Maurice and Jeanne (Parrish) Farabaugh. A retired nurse at Mercy Hospital and graduate of its school of nursing, she was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Clairton. Mary Barbara will be remembered as a fantastic wife and a wonderful mother and grandmother. Her family will love and miss her always. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, John C. Colaianni; her daughters, Mary (Randy) Mogle, Homer City, and Dr. Donna Colaianni, Ph.D., Morgantown, W.Va.; her son, John A. (Sara) Colaianni, Clairton; her grandchildren, Haley Mogle and Charles David Colaianni; her sisters, Anne Donnelly, Cogan Station, Pa., and Rebecca Farabaugh, Clairton; her brothers, Thomas Farabaugh, Liverpool, Pa.; Stephen Farabaugh, Copperas Cove, Texas; and John Dennis (Georgia) Farabaugh, Johnstown; and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2012, at the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, 555 Fifth St., Clairton, Pa. 15025. (412-233-5700) Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2012, at St. Clare of Assisi Church. Procession and burial will follow at St. Clare Cemetery in Clairton. Thafs why she has been busy crocheting lap robes that will help brighten the holiday season for area nursing home residents. Antonelli, of Pittsburgh, Pa., came to Battle Creek in October to spend part of the winter with her daughter, Dolly Taber. But her granddaughter, Sandi Willoughby, soon recruited her to help with a holiday project sponsored by the Battle Creek Area Association of Realtors. This year, the association is "adopting" three area nursing homes - Mercy Pavilion and Calhoun County Medical Care Facility in Battle Creek and Tendercare in Marshall - for the holidaysThe Realtors plan to provide gifts and goodies, along with a little Christmas caroling, to approximately 300 nursing home residents. But it's a big endeavor, and Willoughby thought her grandmother - who has crocheted and knitted countless afghans, slippers, sweaters, jackets, hats and mittens over the years - might be interested in helping. "Of course," Antonelli said of her granddaughter's request "I can't just sit here with my hands in my lap." Since October, she has made more than 20 lap robes. "She's made 20 to my two," said Willoughby, a Realtor with First Class Real Estate. "And she's had cataract surgery in the meantime." Antonelli is used to the active pace. She has made many lap robes Presbyterian Church, 111 Capital Ave. N.E., and anyone is welcome to stop by and help, Mehaffey said. My mother was second born of Salvatore DiGiovine. My maternal grandmother was a DiVecchio--her youngest sister was my mother's aunt, Arcangela Mancini (nee DiVecchio) who lived in McKees Rocks, PA. As a child I recall that we often visited our relatives in McKees Rocks and Aliquippa, PA. One of Arcangela's daughters, my mother's first cousin Caroline, married her first cousin, Paul DiVecchio. Frank D. Civillico, of Devon PA died unexpectedly after a short battle with lung cancer on May 18 2014. Born in Bryn Mawr to Frank and Julia Civillico , he was raised in Wayne Pa . Frank attended Radnor High School and shortly after purchased a service station in the heart of Wayne. He spent the next 40 happily years owning and operating Frank's Service Station. While he enjoyed his work,his true passion was his customers, who became longtime friends. Frank enjoyed vegetable gardening at his home and was a longtime devoted parishioner and usher of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Strafford . He was the dear friend of Rick West, beloved brother of Nicholas J. Civillico(Francine), loving uncle of Eugene, John, and Jeffrey Civillico and Frank, Joseph and the late Larry Forlano. Relatives and friends are invited to call, Saturday, May 24th after 9:30 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 35 Old Eagle School Rd. Strafford Pa. Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11am. Burial at St. Denis Cemetery .
