"Homewood is located in Beaver County between Koppel and Beaver Falls on Route 18. The old Route 18 was called the New Castle and Beaver Falls Road. Exit #2 (Beaver Valley) of the PA Turnpike is in Homewood. Homewood is 1-mile south of Koppel and 3-miles north of Beaver Falls. Homewood is an old railroad town where two major lines of the old PRR intersected. Homewood (Beaver County) is often confused with the Homewood (Allegheny County) section of Pittsburgh. The US Postal service eventually changed the name of the town from Homewood to "Racine" for mailing purposes. Elaine diSanza, married name Buzzelli, was the post master in Racine for many years."
