Grayce Eleanor (Shephard) Ricci, 83, of South Beaver Township, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2017, surrounded by her family.
She was born November 22, 1933, a daughter of the late Samuel A. and Grace M. Hauer Shephard, in the home which she spent most of her life. She was a 1951 graduate of Beaver Falls High School. She married Ronald A. Ricci on June 7, 1952, a marriage which spanned 65 years. She was a member of the Little Beaver Lioness Club, the Chippewa Women’s Club, the Ostomy Support Group of Beaver County, St. Rose of Lima 55-Plus Club, past member of St. Rose of Lima Guild, and several other community and civic organizations. She most recently attended Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church, the church in which she was confirmed as a teenager. She was an active member of the Blackhawk School Board for fourteen years, as well as a member of the board of the Beaver County Career and Technical Center. She also worked as a travel agent for Centre Travel in Chippewa, as well the Democratic Chairperson of South Beaver Township. She was an avid card player, and she liked to travel, to cook, to dance, to sew, to tend to her plants and flowers, and to spend time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Betty Stitt; her brothers, S. Paul, William, and James Shephard, and her son, Ronald P. Ricci in 1992.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Sally Ricci, South Beaver Township; a daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Howard Leslie, Enon Valley; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received on Thursday, July 6, from 2 until 8 p.m. in the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www,hillandkunselmanfuneralhome.com, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls. A service of witness to the resurrection will be held on Friday, July 7, at 11 a.m. in the Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church in Darlington, with the Rev. Bob Saul of the church and the Rev. Nathan Leslie of Bessemer Presbyterian
Church (her grandson) officiating. Interment will follow in Seceder Cemetery, Darlington.

Maria Domenica was the daughter of Domenico Palumbo and Caterina Fantone. This had to have been the same woman that was married to Luciano diTella. I have not looked for death ecords for either man, yet. I received an email from someone some time ago asking about Luciano, I sent her this document and never heard back from
her.
By the way, Carlo had been married before, to Barbara Lucia Iannacchione. This was the second marriage I found for him. His brother Giovanni (my 2nd great grandfather) married 3 times and he was 50 when he married last and went on to father 6 more children. Getting remarried in old age must have been a family thing."

Regarding the DC; from Cris Swetye: "The attached death record is interesting. The birthdate for this Mary Collian matches the birthdate for Maria Bambina Colaianni's sister, Maria Antonia Colaianni.
1947 obituary in the Wooster Daily Record: "Lived in Wooster for the past 50 years."
This may be the link (although shaky) of the story my Aunt spoke of. Story went that Bambina's sister came to the US to meet her husband and on her way to Wooster she and her infant stopped to spend some time with my gr grandmother in Freedom, PA. Unfortunately the infant had diphtheria and Bambina's children got sick as well. The sister's infant died and so did Bambina's youngest, Joe.
The only link I had to this story was that Sam Collian of Wooster came to my grandparents funerals. He would have been the son of the Sam and Mary in this document."
