1924 New Mexico Death Certificate of daughter Rosa.

I am still working on tracing Rosa Iannacchione's family. The 1924 death certificate of Rosa lists her father as Giuseppe and her mother as Cristina Colavecchio. I cannot find that family in the SPA records so its possible that the information is wrong. (Rosa was born in 1885, a year with all the birth records missing. So I can't just look her up.).

My thinking is now going to the thought that the 1924 Death Cert of Rosa is wrong. The DC was reported by her husband Florindo Fraini and it seems possible that he did not know the names of his wife's parents.

There is only one family with Iannacchione father and Colavecchio mother and that is Gaetano Berardino Iannacchione and Maria Carmina Colavecchio. They were married in 1882.

I have received confirmation from Giuliano Colajanni who looked up the church marriage record in 1901. The 1924 DC is wrong. Rosa's parents were Gaetano and Carmina.

1905 15 Aug EI arrival on the Princess Irene, 37y, previously in the US from 1900-1904, going to Old Forge, PA. Traveled with Vincenzo Carapellotti. Two additional names were crossed out: Giusto Marcucci and Giustino Marcucci.
1907 Ellis Island arrival of wife, Ignazia Giamoccaro, references her father-in-law in SEaM, Domenico DiVecchia. I'm guessing the connection here to Domenicantonio. We know that Francesco and Raffaele were cousins (from Ellis Island manifests) so their fathers had to be brothers. Domenicantonio and Nicola were brothers. Still its only a guess.

1913 Declaration of Intention and Petition of Naturalization of husband, Francesco. Gives her place of birth as Monopoli, Italy. Probably Manoppello, Chieti (now Pescara).

1930 Census, 51y, Scranton, Lackawanna, PA, first married at 16y, with 6 children

2019 email from Ann Marie DiVecchia Castelgrande: "I found the 1920 census and their names were written as Frank and Jennie Dewaka. I know they are my grandparents because they lived at that address from 1909-1944 and my father is listed with his siblings. (I assume the person documenting did not understand Italian). In 1930 census the name was Belvegi, which is the name on my father’s high school diploma. When he was drafted, he needed his birth certificate and his parents were listed as “Francesco and Grace DiVecchia” so the “D” boys (my dad and his brothers) changed their names back to DiVecchia! In 1940 census the name was listed as DiVecchia and they were living in the apartment on second floor, same address."

With that note from Ann Marie, I was able to find the 1920 census
1930 census, Old Forge, Lakawanna, PA, 29y (born 1891), 1423 St. Anne's Street.
This cannot be Frank and Grace.

1934 PA Veteran's Compensation of Charles Belveg. Her name is listed as Grace Jannocara Belveg.

1999 obituary of son, Thomas, lists her surname as Giannacaro.
