Obituary
SECRETO, LENA Lena Secreto of Pomona passed away on July 10, 2005 at Robert Yeager Health Complex. She was 98. Lena was born in Salt Lake City on May 5, 1907 to Pasquale and Marinanina Mariani. Mrs. Secreto resided in New York City from 1953 to 2001. In 2001 Lena moved to the Robert Yeager Health Complex where she received loving and tender care from the staff of 6 North. Lena was a member of St. Augustine's Church in New City and Blessed Sacrament Church in N.Y.C., NY. Lena was also a member of the Star Program in Nanuet, NY. Mrs. Secreto was an accomplished seamstress and also enjoyed knitting, croucheting and cross word puzzles. Lena will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who loved her. Lena was predeceased by her husband Frank in 1967. She is survived by her daughter Joan and her husband Red McGrath of New City, six grandchildren, nine greatgrandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Lena is predeceased by two daughters Marie Grippo in 1982 and Phyllis Rogers in 2005, one son John Secreto in 1986 and one grandson Steven in 1995. The family will receive friends Wednesday 7-9 PM at the Higgins Funeral Home, 321 S. Main St., New City, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday at 10 AM at St. Augustine's Church in New City with interment to follow at Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY.
