Possible 1950 NY arrival 24y, going to 2210 North Broadway in Joliet, IL.
I asked Kristi Niedzwiecki and Gene DiVecchio (both live in Joliet) about this address and got this reply: "Hey -- My grandparents address was 2221 N. Broadway - the house is no longer there - but Their house was still standing inn the 1950s. As well as "Ted's Diner" which was right next to the house (It was my grandparent's place with my uncle's name on it).
Gene I --think it is called Memory Lounge now - or was. Anyway - it's possible that there were other houses there that are no longer standing. Wait now that I think of it _ I think there were a few houses across the street - I remember a story my dad told me about my uncle - he went to a lady's house across the street and asked her if her name was La Caca. (Because my grandma called her that) And she said "No. No. I gotta niza name!" - point is yes there were houses across the street."

Info from Cathy Youngblood, Apr 2008: "Augusto Morelli (??- abt 1943) had two children before he was killed in WWII - his death from family stories which in this family are often unreliable - he could have lived to a ripe old age in Tucumcari, New Mexico for all I know. Augusto's children were Angela (who lived in SPA, at least I have a snapshot of her there after WWII) and Ruggerio (AKA Roger, lived unknown, 1938-2008). (I have photos of both of these children). I am pretty sure that Augusto Morelli, son of Ruggerio (1877-1946) and Angela Mariani (1879-1955) , is in the SPA Militia photo on your website."

I, by coincidence, found the website with photos of the Ogden, Utah cemetery. It was a wonderful surprise to see the photos of the grave markers that I visited every Memorial Day growning up. I am related to many of the people whose grave markers are shown. My grandfather knew many of the others very well. My grandfather is Amedio DePierro, brother of Elizabeth D. Ricci (DePierro). He emmigrated from San Pietro Avellana as an eight-year-old with Elizabeth. They were held in Ellis Island for two weeks and nearly sent back to Italy before they got the necessary paper work from Michael Riche, who was close to my grandpa's father, Domenico DePierro. Michael later married Elizabeth and several of their children still live in the Ogden area. Domenico worked for the railroad as did my grandfather, Amedio. They worked at Union Station so it was nice to see that photo as well.

DePierro family tradition has long been to eat on special occasions at Tony's, a popular Ogden Pizza restaurant. I believe the Morelli's, who are mentioned on your site, owned the restaurant at one time and maybe still do. My grandfather was close to the Morelli family. The immigrants from San Pietro were a very tight-knit group for a long time. My father, Amedio Jr. DePierro now lives in Clearfield, Utah and will be very happy to see your website. He also visited San Pietro Avellana, but that was about forty years ago. You mentioned you found many "sampietrese" in the area of the cemetery where we both have family buried. What does that word mean? Do you know of any contact of the Frazzinis with the Morellis, Riches, or DePierros? I appreciate the work you've done on the site and am interested in learning more about my family history and others who emmigrated from San Pietro.

Victorine DeDionisio Frazzini Loving Mother and Grandmother Victorine DeDionisio Frazzini 94, longtime Millcreek resident, died Saturday, December 25, 2004 at Forest View Nursing Home. She was born June 4, 1910, in Providence, Rhode Island, the daughter of the late Antimo and Michelina (Martino) DeDionisio. She was raised in Erie and worked for Pulakos Candies as a young woman. She married Caesar Frazzini in September 1930. Together they owned Dante's Cafe and Frazzini Trucking. He preceded her in death on September 18, 1967. Victorine devoted her life to her family and was known for her generosity. She especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace parish. Also preceding her in death were a sister, Catherine Benacci, and 3 brothers, Eugene, Andrew, and Joseph DeDionisio. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Zimmer and her husband, David, of Erie; three sisters, Nancy Battaglia, Rose Nims and her husband, Don, Virginia Albert and her husband, Edward all of Erie; a sister-in-law, Mitzi DeDionisio of Erie; and 3 grandchildren, David Zimmer III and his wife, Linda, of Erie, Carolyn Taylor and her husband, Keith, of Bentonville, Arkansas, and Suzanne Hauber and her husband, Christopher, of Erie. Victorine is further survived by 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Calling Monday 2- 4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Brugger Home for Funerals, West 38th Street at Greengarden Blvd. Services on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Peace Church at 10 a.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Full Obituary: Nancy J. DeDionisio Battaglia Nancy J. DeDionisio Battaglia, age 99, of Erie, went to be with her Lord surrounded by her family on Saturday, November 19, 2011. She was born September 2, 1912 in Erie, a daughter of the late Antimo and Michelina Martino DeDionisio. Nancy will be remembered mostly for her love of her family and the many, many friends that she made at their family owned business, Taggart's Shop for Men, where she worked every day with her son, Jack, and daughter, Carol, until she was 96 years old. She stopped working because Jack retired in 2008. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend and thoroughly enjoyed cooking for them � especially her delicious spaghetti sauce, meatballs and lasagna. In her younger years, she loved to attend dances with her late husband, Ralph, and their numerous friends. Nancy possessed an extremely positive attitude. When asked how she was feeling even to her last days, her response was always "fine and dandy." In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph L. Battaglia; three brothers, Eugene, Joseph and Andrew DeDionisio and two sisters, Catherine Benacci and Victorine Frazzini. She is survived by one daughter, Carol A. Zimm and her husband Dr. Edward of Erie; one son, Jack A. Battaglia and his fiancee Gerri Leonardos of Ft. Myers, FL; two sisters, Rose Meister Nims and Virginia Gannoe Albert both of Erie and seven grandchildren, Lisa M. Battaglia/Schwartz and her husband Dr. Steven, Mark Battaglia, Johnathan Battaglia and his wife Heather, Stacy Gromacki and her husband John, Jennifer Beaudet and husband Marc, Dr. Matthew Zimm and his wife Tara and Lindsay Zimm. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, Claire, Alexa, and Hudson Beaudet and Phoebe and Paige Gromacki and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home Inc, 2122 Raspberry Street, on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and may attend a service there on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Joseph RC Church, 174 West 24th Street, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Carmelite Monastery, 510 East Gore Road, Erie, PA 16509.
