Liberato Morganelli (I6010) [Male] b. ABT 1857 Ancona, Ancona, Italy
1910 census - 53y, from Chicago Heights of a Morganelli family headed by Liberato and Angia(?). They had a daughter Maria shown as age 15 but the order in which they list the chidren, should more likely be 13y. If my guess is correct, this is the Maria that married Giuseppe Brutti because the age is about right and the location is Chicago Heights - where they lived all their lives. This census shows that Liberato immigrated in 1896 and Angia and the three of her six children who were born in Italy. (Actually the census listed 6 children but shows that she had 10 children, 7 of whom were still alive in 1910). Maria born in Italy, immigrated 1898. I could not find any of the family on Ellis Island.
1920 census 63y, immigrated 1896, 4 children, Gino, Anthony, Carmine, Annie, Albert (by 1920, daughter Mary was married to Joe Brutti)

Michael D Frazzini (I6035) [Male] b. ABT 1971 - d. 27 Mar 2006 Cape Coral, FL
Update From Fort Myers’ WINKtv.com of March 28, 2006
Man Who Shot Intruder Acted in Self Defense
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office says Todd Rasmussen, who lives on Camellia Drive in North Fort Myers, was acting in self defense when he shot a man hanging around in his backyard.
The Sheriff’s Office has identified the man as 35-year old Michael Frazzini of Cape Coral.
“I turned around and I seen him and I was like oh my God,” said his daughter 16-year old Amanda.
16-year old Amanda Rasmussen was the first to discover a masked man hiding behind the shed in her families backyard.
She ran inside to tell her older brother Corey.
“Guy popped up out of nowhere about six foot, 250, really big, had a mask on his face,” said Corey.
Corey thought the man was trying to break into the home. He was trying to scare the Frazzini off. But the man wouldn’t back down and he had something in his hand.
“In the dark they didn’t know what he had,” said Corey’s step-mother Michelle.
The family says they were already on edge because their house was targeted in the last few months.
“Somebody’s been knocking on a window and paint-balling our house doing a lot of stuff,” said Michelle.
Father and son say they repeatedly warned the Frazzini to leave the property.
“The guy just kept coming and kept coming. And after my dad told him he will open fire he turned toward my dad and said do you want a piece of me too and he started advancing toward my father and my father shot him,” said Corey.
Frazzini died at the scene.
Amanda and Michelle Rasmussen say they are still a little scared. But they will rest a little easier knowing that man won’t be coming back.
The Sheriff’s Office has not released the name of the man who was killed.

As band director of the AHS band , he allowed me to sit-in with the band when I was in seventh grade. I was very grateful for his gesture. He and his friend Frank Musante played the trumpet very well. They both could wail. He was great at picking music that made the AHS band sound so great. What a great man."

Amico Carratelli (I6066) [Male] b. Jul 1951 San Pietro Avellana, Campobasso, Molise, Italy
Occupation:
email from himself, Amico Carratelli, Sug 2004: "My family emigrated to Australia in 1954, my dad was the first of the Carratelli family to set foot on Australian soil. He like "Prospero" has helped my of our relatives from San Pietro settle in Australia.

Mostly, the people from San Pietro that emigrated to Australia now live in a town named Lilydale, which is situated some 25 miles from our capital Melbourne in the state of Victoria. Refer to this web address for more information.

http://www.arts.monash.edu.au/ncas/multimedia/gazetteer/list/yarrarangesshire.html

The surname of the San Pietro families that I know of and live here are listed here. They may be of use to you.

Carratelli
Di Martino
Musilli
Di Ludovico
Tonti
Fantone"

email from himself, Amico Carratelli to Rayna Valentine which she forwarded to me, Aug 2005: "Please let me introduce myself. My name is Amico Carratelli and I live in Melbourne, Australia. I was born in SPA in 1951 and we migrated to Australia in 1954, I have never been back home. My proposed trip next year (probably during May and hopefully with my favourite American cousin Mike Ricci who live in Hawthorne California) is something that I eagerly await and will treasure immensely.

I am married to an Italian girl Vanna (maiden surname: Pantalone) and we have three children Leon aged 28, Alana aged 24 and Luke aged 19.

My parents names are Rosina (maiden surname: DiMartino) and Leonardo Carratelli both 77 years of age and thank God still alive and well today. I have one brother Michael and a sister Anna.

My Grandparents on my fathers side of the family were:- Rina (maiden surname: Di Martino) and Amico (not me but my grandpa)Carratelli.

On my mothers side my grandparents were:- Elisabetta (maiden surname: Tonti) and Michele Di Martino.

The two grandparents surnames "DiMartino" well the families were not related in anyway, suppose it's just a common surname.

After that horrible war, just imagine the devistation and the people suffering it's hard to believe that our relatives were able to get through those hard times. They had a great fighting spirit and huge amounts of courage to just survive. But together and as a community they stuck together, shared together and came through. It's no wonder why they are such warm, friendly and will give you anything (especially food) my mother has told me so many, many stories of her childhood and those of SPA.

Yes, that tiny little town of SPA has produced so many talented, generous and wonderful people, I am so proud to be a small piece of that history.

Our friend Mark DiVecchio is testomy to this fact and has done such a wonderful job with his website. Now people like you and me who want to know a little more about our roots have this wonderful opportunity (thanks to Mark) for doing what he has done. I am going to ring Mark
soon and thank him personally, I found what he has put together is just superb.

It's a really small world because my wife's parents came from a town called Sant'Eufemia in Abruzzo and guess what??? Well that's the same town that Mark's dad also came from."

email from cousin, Mike Ricci, Oct 2010: "I believe you have talked on email to my cousin, Amico Carratelli who lives in Australia. He has been back to our town about 5 years back. He has a lot of relatives there he keeps in touch with."
