Gabriele diGiovine, father of Domenico diGiovine.
Information from Domenico diGiovine, Jul 2004: Born 1910. In Italian Army Aug 1939 to Dec 1949. After, WWII ended, Gabriele was in Albania. He was held by the government and forced to work, although he was paid. He was repatriated in 1949 but all his saved money was confiscated first. He died in his house in S. Giacomo in a stairwell collapse. He fell two stories into the basement. Hit his head. He was 71 years old when he died in 1981.

I am not sure we have any common ancestors. My grandparents on my father's side were Reginaldo DiVecchia and Franceschella DiGiovine,on my mother's side were Donato Camillo Timperio and Alba Celestte DiNardo. So as you can there are a number of common surnames."

2023 obituary: Aldo A. DiVecchio, Age 83, drew his last breath, on March 12, 2023. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, cousin and friend.
Aldo was born in Italy in 1939. He came to America in 1948 with his mother to join his father. His parents, Anthony and Maria, preceded him in death.
Aldo is survived by his loving wife, Lynne (Repko); sons, Anthony (Laura) and Joseph (Valerie); and his adored granddaughters, Emily (Mike), Olivia, Abrielle; and grandson, Dominic.
Friends and family received on Thursday, March 16, 2- 4 and 6-8 p.m. at the DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 806 Perry Hwy., North Hills. Mass of the Christian burial celebrated on Friday, March 17, in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, St Teresa of Avila Church, 1000 Avila Ct., Pittsburgh, PA 15237, at 10:30 a.m.
The family wants to recognize and thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at UPMC Passavant McCandless CVICU for their empathetic care, kind gestures, and thoughtfulness to our beloved Aldo as well as his loving family during his hospitalization.
